Bag & Whip Vaporizer
The Extreme Q Vaporizer came out in early 2008 and is manufactured by the Canadian company Arizer who also happens to make the V-Tower model. The Extreme Q is one of the few 3 function units with a digital temp LCD control that uses forced air, direct inhalation, and also a balloon fill type system. Needless to say, the Extreme Q Vaporizer Review was a fun one.
There is a almost silent 3 speed air fan that uses forced air to produce just the right mix of both air and heating with each draw. This is accompanied by the ceramic heating element. The filling chamber (made of pyrex) and the glass adapters for whip as well as balloon kits do well to standing up to the elements and constant daily use.
As we stated above, this unit has a LCD control panel that is very cool and helpful. The main thing that is cool about is the amount of information that it provides-
-Temperature in both F and C
-Actual temperature in both F and C
-fan speed
-timer
The Extreme Q has a total of three methods for delivery and all of them can be swapped out depending on your personal preference-
1) The balloon system is used by attaching a glass adapter and the balloon kit toe the bowl. We found that putting the fan on the highest setting is the best way to go as it produces the most dense vapor layer.
2) Forced air is accomplished using the swivel ground glass whip function which is then combined with a 3 speed silent fan. We found the best level is accomplished by using the fan on the low to medium setting.
3) The final way is to use it as a direct inhalation. You use the medical tubing attached to the base and the swivel which allows proper movement.
The Extreme Q even comes with a a remote. This is probably one of the most necessary accessories I’ve seen on a Vaporizer but hey, if it comes with it, why not. You are able to control all of the primary functions of the Vaporizer with it.
The average heat up time is around 2-3 minutes and temp can range from 100-400 degrees. It takes about 4 minutes for it to cool down.
Another quality aspect of this vaporizer is the fact that it comes with a lifetime warranty, though this is restricted to normal use. If a problem comes along that doesn’t fall under the warranty, you can purchase any of the replacement parts for a fee.
Overall, we were very pleased with this unit. In terms of price it ranks up towards the top. To continue our car metaphor, this unit falls in the BMW range in terms of price and quality. We think that this is a perfect higher end vaporizer for those who cant or don’t want to afford the Volcano Vaporizer. It really comes down to the quality of construction with these vaporizers. If you don’t have solid construction and solid parts, you aren’t going to get as efficient of a vapor and that sort of defeats the purpose. The Extreme Q covers this quite well and gets our seal of approval for an at home vaporizer

I have been using the Arizer Extreme Q vaporizer for the past two weeks and am very pleased with the quality of construction, efficiency of the heating element and wide array of accessories that came with the vaporizer. I have neuropathy and have lost a lot of dexterity in my hands. The Extreme Q gave me a way to get the medicine I need without worrying over dropping and spilling hot ashes all over. It smokes cool and sweet and cleans up easily. I know there are cheaper models out there but if you value good, strong construction along with a fast and accurate heating element, I would purchase this model.

I smoke a lot of herb. I was very, very skeptical about my ability to find the same satisfaction from a vaporizer as I (used) to get from rolling or using a pipe. HA! I have never known enjoyment like this. It has reduced my intake from 2 oz per week of dried herbs to 1!! I LOVE saving $$.
Now, specifically about the Extreme Q by Arizer. I did a *lot* of research before I bought. I read everything I could find, specifically forums and user-reviews. Not many people had anything bad to say about this unit. Especially for the price. Considering the lacking warranties and bad reviews, I really feel like I got my extreme q for a steal. I don’t have an arm and a leg to spend, I would never buy the Volcano just because of the price tag. This fit within my budget and I figured I could always sell it on Craigslist if I was really disappointed. I will not be selling this. What I’ll save on smoking material will more than justify the cost within a month.
Ease of Use: Easy. I had it out of the box and put together in 5 minutes. “Putting Together” consisted of plugging in the ac adapter, setting the glass bowl on top and inserting the whip.
Quality of Construction: Sturdy. Heats up *very* fast and cools down as fast. Round base makes it really hard to knock over. Doesn’t get very hot underneath and even at 240.C the cool-touch portion of the bowl was cool enough to handle. Whip has *no* flavor (this is a big deal!)
Warranty: How can you beat lifetime on the heating element and 2 years parts and labor on all else?
Two thumbs way, WAY up. If you are hesitant to try vaporizers because you are a heavy smoker, fear no more. Can’t believe how happy I am with this! On a quick health note, I feel like I can breathe so deeply now, and I hardly ever cough on this. I’m sure results vary, but I noticed a change almost immediately after stopping smoking.
PS: I use it on 225-230C. It takes less than 4 minutes to really “heat up”

I found this vaporizer to be considerably better than the volcano in a double blind solomon test cross comparison. I would rate this unit at 9.5 out of 10. It would have scored a perfect ten if it had a better valve system like the volcano, but I’m quite content with it’s operational features. It really maximizes the utilization that you get from your herbal blend over other vaporizing methodologies.

I own this product and am very pleased with it. The one thing I am still trying to figure out is how much to put in and how long it will last. I mean how many hits before you need to “reload” is still puzzling me after six months. Maybe I should cut down??? A solid product I highly recommend.

Absolutely the best Vaporizer on the market today. Don’t be fooled by immitators or other brands’ claims of being the best. The Arizer sets the bar for every other Vape on the market. I have owned mine for almost 6 months and have never been happier with a tool. I bought one for every family member that also enjoys herbs. Extreme Q has helped my breathing improve tenfold. I have asthma, so any form of combustion is no good for me. The Extreme Q has really just made my life better and improved the lives of everyone that has used mine because it shows them a new way to enjoy their favorite herbs. Bottom line, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! THANK YOU, ARIZER!

I bought this for my wife, who wanted to use it for her medical marijuana and didn’t like the harshness of smoking joints. The smoking was painful to her throat.
We read up on this, about how you get more out of it when you vape, and decided to give it a shot.
It couldn’t be easier. Load up your weed, attach the mouthpiece (which is attached to the bag) to the vaporizer’s tube, then use the remote control to hit the switch (or use the button on the vaporizer…but how are you gonna recline if you hit the button on the vaporizer?)
Weed vape fills the bag. Thumb over the bag. Insert it in your mouth. Inhale that s***. Easy peasy Japanesey.
You don’t need to use the bag, though. For more potency, draw it right from the tube.
She couldn’t rave more about its ease of use and effectiveness (for what marijuana can do for you).

This vaporizer is amazing! It’s quiet and the remote control is great when you are lounging around. It comes with everything you need to get started the minute it arrives. Cleaning the pieces is easy, if you put them in a bowl of hot water. The swivel top makes it easy to share without anyone having to get up. I highly recommend it!

It’s been exactly 6 months since I bought the Extreme Q. I’ve used it 50+ times so far and this vaporizer definitely rocks. Here’s my little review.
Construction:
It really feels like an expensive product. It looks a lot better in person than on Arizer’s crappy website. Its design is good and it’s made from stainless steel, quality plastic, glass and medical grade tubing. It’s sturdy, mine had no physical damage since I bought it. I read good reviews about its performance beforehands and kind of expected it to feel cheaper since I told myself they must have cut on built quality to make it considerably cheaper than a vaporizer like the Volcano. While it must have cost less than the Volcano to manufacture, in part because of its small size, it looks sturdy enough for many years of regular use. While the Volcano has an industrial feel, the Extreme Q is more the home appliance equivalent.
Use:
The heat time is really quick. The exterior doesn’t get hot at all. The set up is simple and required no learning at first. It does what it needs to, plus cool extra settings like an auto shut off timer, fan speed control, or even to turn on blue lights underneath. All settings can be controlled from a remote control if you don’t feel like using the small buttons and LCD screen of the device, which are a bit annoying to use, given the large number of features and small number of buttons. You can choose from either using the whip or balloons, which are both included with it. It produces thick and good-tasting vapor. The heater hasn’t lost power since I started using it. The only bad thing I found is that the extension cord easily detaches from the power supply when you move the vaporizer around.
Maintenance:
It’s pretty easy to clean after usage, especially with the included glass tool. However, after several uses the glass elbow and whip started to slowly turn brown because of vapors. It’s pretty hard to wash those stains but you still must do it if you want your herbs to preserve their good taste (the stains give the whip a bad burnt taste). This slowly creates permanent stains too and I may have to order another whip online if it starts to look too dirty. Good thing Arizer lets you order any part separatly at a reasonable price.
Value:
It’s actually a great investment. I never smoke anymore when at home because the Extreme Q is superior. Its usage and effects are much better. I know some friends who ditched their cheap vaporizers shortly after they bought them since it wasn’t a better experience than smoking. It’s not the case with the Extreme Q so you really aren’t wasting your money, and vaporizers more expensive than the Extreme Q aren’t worth their price in my opinion. It’s simply the best vaporizer with a whip, which in my opinion is more pleasant to use socially, it’s like smoking shisha, it assembles people together. It’s well worth the price and tons of accessories and spare parts come with it.
Conclusion:
I recommend the Extreme Q to anybody looking for a vaporizer and hesitating right now. Overall I’m pleased with mine, it feels much better than smoking, it’s not just an alternative. Compared to other vaporizers, it looks like it’s in the sweet spot in terms of value. A cheaper vaporizer could be not performant enough to make you switch to vaporizing as your main consumption method, while a Volcano is so expensive that it’s hard to justify its price unless you only swear by air bags, care about its special valve system or bag filling time, and have lots of money on your hands. Sure it is a very sturdy, industrial machine, but it seems like overkill for regular home use. The Extreme Q is much more appealing with its low price tag and unbelievable feature list. I wish I could keep mine perfectly clean, but otherwise it’s a well-priced, performant, good-looking, practical, sturdy vaporizer that looks like it will last me long. While it’s not totally perfect, I think it’s the best vaporizer to buy right now.

Other reviewers have told you that the Extreme Q vaporizer is a quality machine,
and I heartily concur. This is the only vaporizer I’ve ever used, but I can’t
imagine needing a better unit than this one. Now that you’ve decided to buy one,
you’ll need a storage/travel case to provide a secure home for your new toy. I
purchased the Case Logic SLRC-203 Large SLR Camera Bag and am totally satisfied
with it. It’s just the right size for the Extreme Q and it has pockets for the
power supply and other items that come with the machine. It has a tough molded
bottom and is obviously very well made.

i just recieved my extreme q yesterday. all i have to say is i feel bad for whoever purchases another vaporizer on the market. this shit is the real deal! i blaze all day everyday and the first time i used this i was in another world. it gets u lifted like you would never imagine. dont be dumb. buy this product

I read a lot of glowing reviews before buying my Extrema-Q and am glad to say they all held up.
It took awhile to find the right temp to vaporize my herb perfectly but that temp changes with each new batch of herb. For me, 425-450 Fahrenheit works well (The unit defaults with a Celsius reading but you can switch to Fahrenheit mode) The remote control makes using it very easy. Fan is quiet though I usually use with the whip and no fan. Thinking about getting the battery pack to allow it to be more easily brought into other rooms.
There really just is nothing about this unit I can find complaints with.

I brought this originally thinking it was for vapor therapy I could use with my Chinese herbal medicine. When I received it my son couldn’t believe I toke up! How could he know I used to toke up when I was his age? Turns out this machine is typically used for medical marijuana patients, but for us it turns out we both could use some medical marijuana.
Now we’re both California MMJ patients and we enjoy family time even more. This is a fantastic vaporizer!

I’ve only had the Extreme Q for a couple of days now, but I love it. It is well made, looks good and is small enough to not be cumbersome on my crowded desk. The Extreme Q give very clean hits with no hint of the carcinogenic smoke that I wanted to avoid. Comes with well made attachments. Over all very good product and great product for the price. I would highly recommend the Extreme Q.

This thing is UNREAL. I have had a Vapir One for over a year, and the Extreme Q is EONS beyond anything I’ve ever experienced.
– It is ULTRA QUIET (even on the highest fan setting). If you’re using the included whip, then it is literally 100% silent.
– The odor is NEGLIGIBLE (just maintain the unit and keep it clean). Someone in the same room couldn’t smell anything after about 15 minutes of solid use (this person was NOT partaking in the activity, so her nostrils weren’t biased).
– EFFICIENT! At this price, it WILL pay for itself in a very short amount of time (especially if you use the elbow pack method).
– Tastes AMAZING! I’m serious, it’s like Manna: heavenly!
– Much clearer effect, no zombie-like feeling or burnout.
– Healthy! No more carcinogens, carbon monoxide, etc. (I believe this is the main reason why you get that clearer, upbeat effect).
– Simple! No more lighters, carpet burns, ashy mess, or smelly water spills. My favorite thing is to set it on my night stand, turn it on, and just lie there with the whip while relaxing and watching TV.
Overall, this gives the most uplifting effect ever. No more paranoia due to smell or noise. Just turn it on to your desired temperature (start low until you find the sweet spot for your vape and your product), let it warm for about 7 minutes, and get at it!
